Healthcare Recruitment: How Recruiters Attribute to Increased Revenue Generation

Updated: Sep 25, 2023

6 Reasons to Outsource Recruitment for Optimizing Your Scalability & Revenue

Recruitment emerged as a result of WWII, when working men and women were enlisting in the military. This resulted in an abundance of vacancies in the job market. Fast forward to the modern day, and we are still seeing the demand of recruiters in an ever-changing talent ecosystem.

More specifically, we’ve seen a substantial increase in the demand for talent acquisition professionals due to the pandemic. Layoffs occurred but the show must go on. This shift has created room for discussion regarding the value that recruiters can bring and the return on your investment in utilizing their expertise.

Here are a few reasons why healthcare recruiters can play a key role in scaling your business properly:

  • Marketing - Recruiting changed when social media became a huge channel of opportunity to advertise job postings and take a more proactive approach in hiring. A recruiter’s arsenal often includes marketing tools that are not only expensive, but lead to higher visibility rates. This increased “foot traffic” on your job postings can double, if not triple your candidate pool.

  • Market Intelligence - Recruiters are IN the talent market daily, listening and seeing trends as well as strategic tactics by top employers. They know how to target, and find the A-players, while also representing your brand in the highest regard. This leads to optimized funnel metrics; a fancy way of saying that you will see more successful interviews that turn into actual hires rather than wasted time.

  • Time is Money - You may spend a portion of your week allocating time to recruitment, but recruiters are doing it all day and every day. This is their world, and they know how to work smarter versus harder when it comes to attracting top talent. They also have tools to reach the 70% of passive candidates, who will not see your job posting because they aren’t looking.

  • Revenue Generation/ROI - Recruiters can cut your time to fill drastically. The quicker that you can hire someone, the sooner they can produce revenue. This is probably a recruiter’s most valuable asset. Say your role has been open for 3 months, and your current provider is making you X amount per month. Take that number, triple it and look at the money that you just missed out on. If you had hired a recruiter to find you someone sooner, you would have most likely already seen your ROI on that hire. Scared money doesn't make money.

  • Networking - Recruiters are expert networkers. We plant seeds, and we spend most of our day talking to people. If you’re a niche recruiter, your network consists of the people employers are trying to target passively without any luck. Some recruiters may also be working with your direct competition. This provides you with insight on how others are strategically hiring, and how to stay prevalent in a challenging talent market. People are your profit centers, and your sphere of influence increases your chances of finding that right fit. It also increases their retention rate and overall success at your organization.

  • Negotiation - Great recruiters are master negotiators. I’ve seen candidates get cold feet and almost walk away from great opportunities. Having a recruiter in the mix can help mitigate this situation. Think about this scenario with realtors. It would be very difficult to save a deal in closing on a home between the buyer and seller alone. However, the realtor plays the middleman to make sure all things are mutually beneficial, and create a win-win situation. The same applies for recruiting!
